1. Tangier, Morocco
This has to be my favorite all time city. Tangier is a small city in North Africa which is situated right by Spain. It is in Morocco which has a rather Arabic culture but still maintains european culture as well. The fascinating thing about tangier is throughout its history it has been an international port which welcomed all foreigners and claimed itself to be independent. However, now it is proudly part of the beautiful country of Morocco. Yes, this is also my hometown and yes i feel blessed. Tangier tends to be sunny throughout the year and therefore people tend to go to the beach throughout the year. I would say the most impressive thing about this city is the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea meet and therefore one could physically see the color difference between both waters.
2. Antalya, Turkey
This has been by far the most beautiful city i have ever visited. It is historically amazing as it incorporates both a european touch while also adhering to islamic norms such as mosques and other kinds of religious temples. I had a lot of fun in Antalya as i visited during summer and the weather was really warm. Also, the beaches were very beautiful in the sense that the water was crystal clear. I enjoyed every moment swimming and tanning with my friends. Antalya is a perfect destination for friends to go enjoy a summer vacation. The city attracts many tourists every summer and thus i was surrounded by very many cultures.
3. Paris, France.
There are no words to describe how beautiful Paris is. Paris is a world in itself in the sense that it is a beautiful city with so much history and romance. When i visited Paris, i went with my parents and we visited Le Louvre, a beautiful museum, and the Eiffel Tower and made sure to go up to the highest level. The view of Paris from the Eiffel Tower is extremely beautiful as you are able to view the entire city from a very high angle. Other than an incredible history, Paris is also known as the fashion city. We went shopping in Champs Elysees, which is the main street in Paris which offers all sorts of fashion stores. The street is beautiful with neon lights everywhere.
4. Madrid, Spain.
Madrid is also a fascinating city. I visited Madrid during December break 2013 and fell in love with the city. Madrid is very different from other European cities in the sense that it incorporates a very strong Spanish architecture. The buildings are old and very well structured. Madrid was fun as there are so many shopping malls and places to visit. As my best friend is a big fan of the soccer team of Madrid, we visited the Bernabeu, which is the official soccer stadium for Madrid. The stadium is beautiful especially as it is situated in the capital of Spain and therefore has to represent the country. We had a lot of fun visiting and shopping.
5. Lisbon, Portugal.
I have absolutely no words to describe Portugal. My trip to Portugal was amazing. I went to Portugal in a high school trip for a soccer tournament. We visited Lisbon, and very few museums as we were there only for four days. However, i automatically fell in love with the city as it is simply gorgeous. The most beautiful museum i recall seeing was the Maritime Museum where we got to see nautical life. I love fish and the sea life so this just made me super happy. Sadly, in our tournament my team ended up coming second place. However, my experience was worth it.
6. New York, United States.
New York was the last city i visited. Upon my arrival in the United States, i had a bucket list, and visiting New York was obviously on the top of my list. I absolutely adored the cities. It is such a big cities with so much to offer from history, shopping, sports, to partying. I was there over thanksgiving break and made sure to visit both New Jersey and New York. Obviously, New Jersey was nothing special and therefore focused my time in New York. I fell in love with Times Square where i spent all my time and sadly my money in. However, it was a great experience i would love to redo.
7. Amsterdam , Holland.
Amsterdam is a must visit for everyone. It is a beautiful city surrounded by beautiful waters and tulips everywhere. I loved this city so much because although it is in Europe, there are a lot of Moroccans there and therefore every time i go i feel like its my second home. My best friend lives in Amsterdam and therefore every time i go visit him, he takes me to see beautiful plays. I of course also like shopping in Amsterdam as unlike other big cities, the shopping malls have shops that are domestic and antique rather than mainstream.
8. Marbella, Spain. Marbella is a little city in Spain right across from Morocco. It has beautiful beaches and is very fun to attend in summer. Marbella is known for this street called Puerto Banus where people have their boats and yachts set up in front of shops and restaurant. This place is usually packed in the summer because it offers various nightclubs where people from all around come to attend as they are a lot of fun. Luckily for me, Marbella is one step away from home and therefore is very accessible. As a result i tend to go a lot during summer.
9. Doha, Qatar.
Now, this destination is probably the most beautiful and most modern city i have ever visited. I can not begin to explain how rich and modern this country is. It is all designed in a modern way whereby the shopping malls are architectured in a circular form rather than as buildings. This city is probably just as modern as Dubai if not more. I loved shopping in this city and waw it is also fascinating to see how beautiful the women are. I fell in love with Qatar.
10. Saronic Islands, Greece.
I wish i would have saved this for my future honeymoon because these islands are breathe taking. The water is absolutely amazing. During my break, i sat down all day and tanned and swam. I was able to relax fully and enjoy the beauty of the Greek Islands. This is a must see for everyone who wants to simply relax.
